I can't recommend The Old Wash House highly enough. A lot of thought and care has gone into the renovation and design process and preserving the original features. It is warm and cosy and perfect for me and my retired greyhound. The fresh smelling bed linen was lovely as was the welcome tray, pint of milk, doggy treats, dog towels and hand wash. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in.

We hope to return. Highly recommend Cresswell Beach, a few minutes drive, free parking and very quiet, excellent café nearby.

We had a fab time here! Lovely and clean, everything we needed, a very comfortable bed with lovely linens, and the garden was just wonderful for our little pup.A very short walk to the nearest pub and not even a few minutes walk to the high street, but as it’s tucked away, it’s very peaceful.We definitely wouldn’t hesitate to return, and it’s a perfect location to explore Northumberland.

Lovely cottage: clean, homely and so much provided to make our stay comfortable and homely. We loved the garden too. The parasol was very welcome. Fabulous accommodation, location and communication was great. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. We will certainly stay at this lovely cottage again.

Me and my wife and 2 miniature dachshunds had a great stay lovely garden to sit n relax lovely inside nice Harbour nice town very friendly people as I expected and some nice places nearby to visit great stay 😊😊

Cute studio cottage I and my two little dogs enjoyed staying in. The enclosed south facing garden was ideal. Very dog friendly as is the town which is quite lively down by the harbour. There are some interesting history bits in the cottage which I enjoyed reading which gave some context to this little known fishing town. We enjoyed exploring, meeting some lovely people on our walks who were very generous with their local knowledge, which I was able to pass on to other newbies on my last night! Very well placed for surrounding tourist spots like Bamburgh Castle and Warkworth, just about a mile up the road. Pity Alnwick gardens don’t allow dogs. Very relaxing stay.

We love The Old Wash House. This was our 3rd visit.Lots of places nearby to enjoy which we have done i the past. this year we just wanted to chill. Lovely area to walk the dogs. Lovely cafes, tearooms, Take aways and restaurantsThe sun shone and the rain stayed away.A really friendly area where the locals give you a great welcome.

Perfect little get away.There was nothing we could fault about this beautiful, little space.It was immaculate and was very well thought out with everything you would need.Great location with lots of walks on the doorstep and local amenities in Amble. No problems finding space to park.

Enjoyed a fabulous week in this lovely well equipped cottage. It was spotlessly clean & lots of storage room for a small space.Our dog loved the secure garden as did we & were fortunate enough to have great weather all week.We never had any issues parking, there was always space nearby & it was only a few minutes walk to the town.There was an added bonus of a welcome pack which was much appreciated. We shall definitely return.
